Bioclimatic ActiveOx Series by AtmosAir

Bi-polar ionization (BPI) is a proven technology that proactively cleans indoor air by actively emitting ions into the indoor space with the goal of neutralizing air pollutants and contaminants to create cleaner air.

Needlepoint bi-polar ionization air filtration systems are designed to capitalize on the proven principle of ionization as an air cleaning mechanism through positive and negative ion production in smaller commercial or industrial indoor spaces.

ActiveOx Needlepoint Bi-Polar Ionization (NPBI)

ActiveOx NPBI uses an ionization energy of below 12.07 eV. for HVAC air purification. This is done specifically to avoid the production of ROS (Reactive Oxygen Species) one being ozone, so ozone production is diminished (UL 2998 compliant).

Ions are produced simultaneously by rows of alternately charged steel pins, one positive, one negative.

Nickel coated steel pins are resistant to corrosion and erosion. In addition, the pins are recessed to limit accumulation of debris and the need to clean them.  This is far superior to needlepoint ion generators with carbon brushes.

Typically used as an indoor air cleaning system in a wide variety of smaller unitary air handling equipment like PTACs, fan coil units, unit ventilators, ductless mini splits and VRF ceiling cassettes where space is a consideration.

Bioclimatic ActiveOx D by AtmosAir

The Bioclimatic ActiveOxTM duct mount generator is a bipolar ionization device. The generators produce synchronized bi-polar ionization of an air stream whose flow is perpendicular to the axis of the emitter pair. Thus, depending upon the volume of air, chemical and biological content, ionization is factory pre-set to CFM airflow rating by means of local control to affect density sufficient to produce the desired volumetric air purification.

Bioclimatic ActiveOx R by AtmosAir

The Bioclimatic ActiveOxTM ionization generator rail is designed specifically for plenum mounting. Generator rails are normally installed in the supply air side of an air handling unit following the final filter. Alternatively, they can be installed in the return plenum.

Advantages

Durability and reliability: The enclosure design protect the internal components and the product design incorporates a robust product life-cycle.

Tested and Validated: UL2998 verified zero ozone and UL 867 certified.

Power Supply Options: range from 24V to 120/240V depending on product type

BMS flexibility and capability: Communication module is separate for greater integration options.

Corrosion resistant: The emitters are specifically made from a corrosion resistant material that will last longer than carbon fiber brushes.

Recessed emitters: The HVAC airflow will not directly impinge dirt and debris on the emitters causing less maintenance and fouling of the emitter. The recessed emitters prevent damage from inadvertent contact during service, a risk with exposed brushes or pins.

Durable enclosures - considered plenum rated for certain air purification applications

Flexible configurations: modular rail mount
for larger air purification applications, duct mount for compact
installations and fan coil for smaller CFM and
VRF applications

Optional: Continuous Ion Monitoring (CIM) feature
